Memberships
Anyone can apply for a membership of the British Legion. You do not have to have served in the H.M.Forces.
New memberships are taken after the month of Februrary. This is after renewals for existing members has taken place.
Initially provisional new members need to write down their name, address and phone number. This is to be placed in to an envelope along with a SAE.
The club then produces a list of potential new members to be placed on the club notice board for 2 weeks. Providing no objections are raised from current numbers, a letter will be sent to attend a meeting. At this meeting a membership form will be filled out and payment of £17.50* will be taken. You will be given a rule book and a small speech on what the club offers, and expects from members.
*Denotes an inclusive payment of £1 to cover membership card costs for the first year.
